Tales About Tails: A Mouse in My House

We gots mice.  They come and go, presumably to eat poison, then burrow through walls and die.  When I was little, I would put pieces of food (Rice Krispie squares, carrots, etc) under my bed in hopes of attracting a mouse that I would befriend and then dress in Barbie clothes.  Not as cute as I had hoped.  Reality is a real bitch.  Bitchy mice.  Bitches.

  1. Hi, I was looking for some mice pictures and end up here. I know this is an old post but would like to defend your child point of view ^^
I know any invasion of our territory doesn't look nice...but let me tell you the child in you was not so wrong. Barbie clothes aside, mice can be really nice andyes, they can become your friends. Some appeared at home two years ago. I was not pleased of being invaded so I trapped most of them with a non killing trap (nice info on http://www.schoolofhowto.com/stop-mice-infestation/ ) and free them at the woods. Killing them is a bad idea, not just because of your karma, but because their little bodies will rot in some unavailable place at your home and that's the stench, a death stench, ugh. And it is more expensive too. Non lethal traps will last forever without blood stains or body pieces to clean.

However let me tell you I ended up adopting a couple of them and to my surprise... they are wonderful pets! The most entertaining ones to watch and really clever and pacific, never bite if they are well treated. They are very clean and groom themselves as much as a cat. You just have to know them a bit better. If you don't believe it, please watch http://www.youtube.com/user/MouseAgility , not related to me, but great to watch!
